The Question:
Is the Craftsmanship judging this year going to be group or individual? An acquaintance and I were discussing merging our two groups as they're from the same series, but his group members are at Novice level while I'm at Expert level. Would such a merge mean we all got judged as Expert even though I had absolutely nothing to do with their costumes?
The Answer:
Craftsmanship judging will have both. All group entries will be judged as groups while individual entries will be judged by skill level.
Okay, so am I to take this to mean that if I do join the group, it *will* raise the skill level of the group to Expert because we will only be judged as a collective? Or does it mean that individual members of the group can choose to be judged as individuals? Ie, I can be judged alone and all others in the group can be judged alone. I find this answer capable of being read either way.
