Displeasing discovery of the day: my cutters, which will cut through 1/2" solid steel boning with no problem, do not like 1/2 hoopskirt boning, which is two steel wires and some plastic covered with fabric. Grr. And I *need* the hoops in the skirt before I can measure the length of the underskirt, which is all cut and seamed and just needs to know if the 45" wide wilk will be long enough or if I'll need to use the 60" satin taffeta for the outer layer. (Skirt is white; hoopskirt is beige/natural/ecru/whatever, hence, skirt needs to be lined.)

Oh, and the Earthian OVAs are very snarkable.
