Costuming and the actor
May. 17th, 2005 07:04 pmMy cousin (the 14-year-old actor) asked me Sunday if I could make him a Spider-Man costume.
My thoughts went more or less as follows:
"NOW?! Right when all my year's sewing deadlines are hitting?! F*#@ no!"
(upon being informed that this will be for a film he plans to make next year): "Okay. Well, maybe. It's spandex and a bitch, but maybe... I could learn airbrushing for the web line work, it'd be much easier than applique."
(upon being asked if I could make the web lines raised "like in the movie"): "Sure, Geoff, got the couple million they gave to the costuming department on hand? Failing that, are you willing to stand *stock still* for a couple of hours while I kill several bottles of puff paint on you?"
*rolls eyes*
