Last night we watched The Triplets of Belleville. Despite how wonderful people generally seem to find it, it actually left the three of us bored. Yes, some nice graphics. Yes, some fun music. But I just couldn't find a reason to care about it. So, to take the taste of boring-ness out of our mouths, we watched the Munto OVA afterwards, which was almost paint-by-numbers schoolgirl-meets-magical-world, but managed to be refreshing, colorful, and amusing nonetheless. I'm hoping whatever rumor my brain remembers about more episodes is true.

I have to share your opinion of the Triplets' movie. While I sat there and watched it, I couldn't help but wonder why everyone praised it so. Yes, it was amusing... but I kept thinking that it was supposed to be a lot more exciting than I found it to be.

Triplets of Belleville was WAY too slow. It was cute and pretty and the theme was catchy as heck, but it could have performed well in 45 minutes flat. Someone told me Finding Nemo was better, and after seeing both of them, I was like, "Uh... what?!"
