La. Wonderful Husband and I went to get our eyes examined this morning. I'm still 20/20, which is good. Then presents got boxed and bagged up for him to mail while
hoshikage and I went to the fabric district today. This is just one example of why he is Wonderful.
For some reason the traffic gods were against our expedition. I know precisely how long it should take to get to the fabric district from my house and, well, let's just say there was an extra forty minutes in there today. She popped out of the car and got into Bohemian Crystal with four minutes to spare to their closing time while I circled (more traffic) because I was blonde and had forgotten that she had the parking money. But once parking was accomplished (parked for the first time in one of the rooftop lots and rather liked it) we got rather a lot of shopping done... got just about everything remaining for her wedding and a couple other things besides. ^^ (Ne,
racerxmachina, am I allowed to wear a choker to your wedding?)
In the search for the Perfect Red Velvet, we browsed a whole new block of stores, expanding our "territory," and on the way back to the car found another new block we want to investigate next time. Alas, the Perfect Red Velvet was not found this trip. So I was good and didn't spend too much money. On the way home (insert still more traffic) we stopped in at Barnes and Noble and picked up one of the things still on my shopping list as well as a couple of beading magazines that had articles I couldn't resist. Then we got home and ate and I finished the scarf I'd started last night (check off another gift) and wrapped it and got everything else ready wrapped... one more thing to make, one more thing to buy, and I'm done.
Except for the Christmas cards....
