May. 18th, 2003 09:22 pmYou know it's a good day when you accomplished most of what you set out to.
I planted beans, weighing down dangling strings from my chicken-wire trellis with nails so that when they emerge the little darlings will have something to climb upon.
I watered plants. I even gave some fertilizer and ground cover (straw).
I whacked back my monster rosemary bushes and offered the carnage forth to my parents and the neighbors.
I baked. I played with the tiny bread pans I got the other day and discovered that cooking directions for their contents seem to be something like "fifteen minutes at four hundred degrees." I made cornbread with walnuts and some of the aforementioned rosemary in it.
I scrubbed pots and pans and made the kitchen tidy.
I made ice tea.
And, incidentally, I got a sunburn on my back from gardening in a sarong (as per usual) but forgetting to wear my hat. Que sera sera.
So, I feel -accomplished- tonight.
