sakon76The more I go over chapter fourteen of Lady Killer, the more dissatisfied I am with it. This is to be expected after the near-golden perfection of chapter thirteen (thirten has always been my lucky number), but it's still disquieting. I wonder if I'm being harsher on myself than usual because of having finally written well? Ah well. It's a step forward, and it will come again. Someday writing well may even come naturally, easily.
Reread the last six volumes of Hikaru no Go last night. Am waiting until there's a DVD set of the entire series up on eBay before pouncing to purchase. Right now the furthest I've seen is up through episode sixty-nine of seventy-five.
Was fretting last night that with two chapters in two days I might've written myself dry for a spell, but that does not seem to be the case. It helped, I think, that I got some new input... picked up volume eight of Saiyuki at Book-Off yesterday, as well as volume eight of Sono Te Wo Dokero. So, new story. And I've found a few new archives to go through, replenishing my inner pool of creativity.
