sakon76My mother worries when I don't post in LJ. ^^; Contrary to popular rumors, I am indeed alive. The house is even showing signs of being nearly habitable. Am at the moment working on the workroom again, tidying up the recent sort-and-file spree that kind of spread all over. Have gone through some of my patterns again in the course of shelving them and am slightly amused to realize that I can say "hey, that dress isn't medieval! it's got princess seams!" and immediately turn around and plot to use the pattern in an LotR-style dress. Hey, I have the fabric, so why not use it?
Have also finally finished reading Wonderful Husband's birthday gift to me, The Chronicles of Master Li and Number Ten Ox by Barry Hughart (subtitle: Novels of an Ancient China that Never Was). Good fun. It's a collection of three novels, Bridge of Birds, The Story of the Stone, and Eight Skilled Gentlemen. I recommend picking them up if you can find copies.
Did I mention we now have three Ikea bookcases and need at least two more to finish housing the books and manga? This is after I've culled five boxes of books!
Anyhow, enough break. Back to cleaning!
