Still Cleaning...

Last weekend I did the Great Fabric Cull. This week is the Great Pattern Cull. I've probably pulled about fifty patterns out, organized what's left and it still fills two shelves! I've also tossed three complete quilts' worth of quilt-blocks-to-be-sewn, clipped all my embroidery hoops together for tidiness, and generally downsized my stash storage area by four shelves. Which, of course, means that it's time to venture into the depths of the closet, otherwise known as Storage Area #2.

I have too much stuff. I know I have too much stuff. Unfortunately, just getting rid of all of it will have the effect of my psyche going "must replace!" and spending money to do so. So I figure I get rid of about a fifth of it on this round... and then move to culling stuff from another room... and after that's done, maybe take another round through this room.... It'll all get done and down to a reasonable amount. Eventually.

Right. Into the closet!

Disaster Area

Oh god room is a mess. But there are five white garbage bags of fabric out in the hall (on top of the six we gave Goodwill yesterday, and that was after both iaurcalien and Liz had gone through 'em) and the closet has a floor again, which is a miracle unto itself. Have four tubs completely emptied and sitting on the floor. Should probably tackle the box of yarn too, but not sure I'm up to that today....

Huzzah!

Workroom: clean. Closet: 90% reamed out. Hooray! Have layered all the WIPs neatly into one of the clear storage containers so that they're in view, in order, and ready to be tackled when I have time/energy/inclination....
