To Dos!

Have sewn footie paws and tails on 19 of the 24 sunbonnet kitty blocks for the baby quilt. Tonight, sew the remaining five, press them, and start in on the dresses/overalls. NOTE TO SELF: change needle out as it was catching this morning.

Have shopping list. Have plans. Tonight also, making:

0) dinner: leftovers (meatloaf; corned beef) plus steamed asparagus plus green salad - Wonderful Husband did.
1) cornbread for the vegetarian stuffing/dressing to be made tomorrow
2) pumpkin pie
3) pumpkin cheesecake (wish me luck...)
4) orange-ginger cranberry sauce
5) cranberry muffins with leftover 8oz cranberries
6) banana bread and muffins 'coz I have six browning 'nanas.

Unfortunately I have work on Friday, so that niggling voice in the back of my head saying "Aha! He's his twin! This explains EVERYTHING!" gets to wait just a day or two longer until after I've got that quilt finished.

Well, got most of the cooking for the night done... all that's left, really, on the "Thanksgiving" list is roasting vegetables to go with that cornbread. The 'nana bread, cranberry muffins, and any scones I might feel like making are pure gratis on my part in the morning. But everything is cooked (cheesecake just about ready for me to turn the oven off), all the ingredients are put away, and dishes are washed with only one casualty: my second-largest ceramic mixing bowl slipped on the way out of the sink and is now in pieces. :( I need to see if Crate and Barrel sells singles from the set, or maybe if Target does since I think I've seen the same or very similar ones there.

And thank goodness for Wonderful Husband, who picks up last-minute things like lemons and more eggs and does an extra emergency run to the store when I discover things like "no, my impression that I have a springform pan for the cheesecake is apparently an erroneous one." ^^;;
