Ephemerals
Apr. 23rd, 2006 08:44 amOnce upon a time, my computer (marginally named "Duo") and my husband's computer ("Darth Winslow") both ran on Windows and were linked to one another. We could access anime on the other computer and watch it on our own. (It should be noted that I did so more than he did.) Then came the installation of Linux. And since then the connection between the two has been severed. Until this weekend, when Wonderful Husband figured out how to connect them again. All hail the Wonderful Husband!
elenisiliel has seemingly gotten left with the kitten she was kitten-sitting. And while he is very cute and I would like another cat, and so would our cat, I think, he is also an ill-mannered little beastie. A hissy, fuzzy spitting ball of hate sometimes indeed. Plus two cats would be pushing it with Wonderful Husband's asthma. Le'sigh.
We live in a townhouse, and the woman renting the over-the-garage apartment from our neighbor is, well, I hate to sound like this, but "white trash" is the best term to come to mind. Woke me up at 8a.m. on a Sunday in a argument with her boyfriend, and turned the TV loud on an evangelist program when it was done. Um, common courtesy? I feel sorry for
elenisiliel, who actually shares a wall with her.
And, finally, limping this weekend. Don't know what I've done to it, but the ball of my left foot hurts when I step on it. Yet the pain did not surface at all when Wonderful Husband gave me a footrub last night. Guess I'm wearing my soft-soled sandals until it stops hurting.
