I have found the kitchen. (Tick, this is an incredible discovery! Scientists should be notified!) All non-edible substances residing in the refrigerator have been disposed of in a controlled manner. The stove top has even been scrubbed. Plus I've got all five sleeve drapes ready to be sewn on and all eight skirt layers cut and ready to be hemmed. Yet somehow I can't help but feel that I'm forgetting something Very Important[tm]. Ah well, if it's meant to be, it'll come to me.

Did I mention we have blueberries? ^_^

*grrr*

Damage total for the weekend:

two pins
one needle
one sewing machine

It should still be under warantee from the last repair, less than a month ago, and we dropped it off this afternoon... fortunately I have a second machine to sew on, but still.

But, hey, top skirt layer hemmed....

*adds one more needle to the carnage total and calls it a night*

Well, three skirt layers hemmed out of four. What is now our workroom was my sister's bedroom before she moved out. In one corner, over her bed, she had hung a hammock full of stuffed toys. The hammock is gone but the hooks in the ceiling remain, now positioned over my desk. I'm finding them very handy--the dress is on a hanger suspended from one, at a perfect height for me to evenly trim the tulle layers and double-check the hems, tying off and burying thread tails.

I wonder if I should feel so happy about my Wonderful Husband playing video games? This evening he went back to playing GTA3 after several weeks off, and I felt relieved. He's been a bit in the doldrums recently, work getting to him, I think, and it made me happy knowing he was finally feeling destressed enough to game. I read, voraciously, as one of my outlets, write as another, costume, watch anime... I'm usually a very low-stress person, so it worries me very much when someone I'm emotionally close to becomes worn down or stressed out.
