Have been thinking about what my coworkers think about me. They know I costume (when I brought in pics they all oohed and ahhed). They know I crochet, having seen me working on a couple of different scarves. They know I make quilts and do embroidery, having seen me hard at work on those projects as well. So why did it surprise me when one of them told me last night that she thought that when I have kids, they'll have the cutest outfits ever? Mind, kids are not planned to be in the picture for a couple of years. But I'm well aware of the time commitment involved, which will cut down significantly on my sewing/crafting time, so I'd never really thought along those lines.

Have finished the green on two of the four sections of the tablecloth cross-stitch project. Have finished the quilt top and folded it up until I can get backing and batting. Have cleaned the workroom, which includes not only putting costumes away, putting luggage still out from AX away, filling the trash bin with scraps, sorting out "hey, this isn't mine" stuff, but also doing fiddly little sensible things like consolidating snaps and hooks-and-eyes, pins, needles, etcetera. Have thought rather a good bit about the next project, including looking up source stuff. Have realized SDCC is out--have plans for Thursday already, a dress fitting on Friday, and work Saturday and Sunday. Ah well. Needed to save money anyway. Have trimmed the badly-woven selvedge off the Evil Black Lining Fabric, and am preparing to clean off my sewing desk and then sew.

This evening at work was a little better than last night. Of course, almost twice nothing is still nothing. I was very glad I'd brought my embroidery with me, and did much work on it. It is, in fact, now precisely half finished. Time to move on to new colors. The scarf was also delivered to its owner, sending her and a couple other of my coworkers into fits of rapture about it. (Um, guys, you *saw* this when I was working on it....) And then I come home and find my best friend has posted a new chapter of one of her fics. Happy! Tomorrow is slated for working on flower girl's dress and also for hemming those long long strips I cut from the Evil Black Lining Fabric so that I can eventually start ruffling them.
