Jan. 13th, 2004 04:08 pmFirst day of school. Yay for preregistration! Yay for finding parking in time! And yay that my car didn't get ticketed while I was in my first class and then walking over to the parking authorities to get my permit!
Right now am in the hour lull between my "Modernity in Japan" (last requisite for second BA) class and my "Introduction to Social Dance" (taking for fun) class. Having *found* where the latter is, the sign over the door that proclaims "no street shoes" worries me a bit, as I haven't anything else. But ah well and we shall see.
( And for those inclined to read slight ick... )

Jan. 13th, 2004 08:21 pmOn the way to dance guild, wonderful fiance and I had a slight accident.
Namely, an axle in the middle of the freeway.
We were not alone in our misfortune--at least five other cars hit the thing and had to pull over with flats. Thank God for AAA. It's times like these when they're worth every red cent I pay them annually. Got the insurance info of the guy whose axle it is, was fortunately very close to both an offramp and home, and am also fortunate enough to live within a mile of a tire warehouse and to have a mechanic uncle local enough for him to check over the car for any additional damage in the morning.
Still, quite enough adventure for one night.
