Hmm. To go under the crinoline I'm working on, I'm making a pair of pantaloons. I did up a test pair in muslin, having never used the pattern before, and they fit fairly well (and, heck, I can use the muslin ones under a light-colored costume). So now I'm cutting the actual pair out of this black fabric that has a faint sheen to it. I was considering using silk dupioni, but they'd lose the nice crispness the first time they got washed anyway. So, cutting cutting cutting... and adding extra width at the side seams to see if I can get a bit more "puff" to them.
