Jun. 7th, 2004 11:03 pmArgh! Cannot find passport! And I need it for job stuffs in the morning. Grrr.
Wonderful Husband and I had a short discussion on which is more in need of peace bonding at a convention, a nuclear warhead or the Black Death. He thinks there may be a niche market for plushie weaponry. Myself, I just can't see how any good can come of arming the plushies.... :)

Date: 2004-06-09 01:34 pm (UTC)Convention halls are smallish, and where the Black Death will kill maybe 30% of the congoers, the nuke will take them all out and also cause much property damage. So simply from a catastrophe standpoint nukes are worse. Remember- fans are free, buildings cost money.
There's also the bureaucracy to consider- the Black Death will only have FEMA and the CDC involved- the nuke will have FEMA, the NRC, the EPA, and possibly the IAEA involved. That sort of alphabet soup cluster-er, something is best avoided by any sane person.
So, peace bond those nukes when the fans come out of the dealer's room.
