I have come to the conclusion that tier four of the petticoat is going to take bloody forever to hem. It's already taken bloody forever and I'm not even a third of the way around.

Got a compliment in Japanese class from Lee-sensei this morning on my translation of a paragraph of the reading. Later she tried to make us as a group translate a single sentence. She started us off with "When she thought..." and I had to argue with her that she couldn't translate it that way because there had to be a second action to go with the "when" and there *wasn't* a second action in the sentence. I think I can translate decently at this point, due largely to a knack with my native language. Need to drag out Ayatsuri Sakon to prove this theory....
