Meme gacked from Cadhla:

"All right: assume that you have been empowered by some cosmic corporation responsible for producing DVDs, and they've asked you to select their next ten releases! You can choose up to five movies, and up to five television shows, to have released on DVD.

What are you going to ask them to release? Why? Things which are not yet available in your region count, but things that have never been made don't."

Movies

1) The Flight of Dragons -- wonderful science-meets-magic animated movie. Maybe now that The Last Unicorn is out, it stands a chance?
2) Shall We Dance? -- a lovely lovely Japanese film about ballroom dance, had a slightly edited, subtitled domestic release. Not available on DVD in either country.
3) Airborne -- a Californian surfer who must finish out his high school years with relatives in Minnesota turns to roller blading. A "way in which you choose to live your life" film.
4) Always Remember I Love You -- a TV movie about a rich teen who discovers that he was adopted and, further, that he was stolen from his birth parents as a child. He seeks out his original family without them knowing it.
5) My Best Friend is a Vampire -- '80s movie about a teen who becomes a vampire and has to adjust while still leading a normal life. Fun to watch back-to-back with "Love at First Bite."

TV Series

1) Jem and the Holograms -- Pink-haired singing Barbie with band and rival band. Some real issues present in the show. Fun music.
2) She-Ra: Princess of Power -- He-Man's twin sister. I still have fond memories of the Christmas special crossover.
3) WKRP in Cincinnati -- "With God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." 'Nuff said.
4) Dungeons and Dragons -- Classic '80's series.
5) Chouja Raideen -- anime, rival sentai boybands who lose their clothes when they de-transform. Seems like fluff until you realize there's serious plot going on and has been ALL ALONG. That's not even mentioning the penguin suits, or the "Hishou is a werewolf!" episode....

If I had three more, I'd ask for the recent WB series "Tarzan," the older "Thundercats," and the new version of "He-Man" to be released as well.

Jem: April or May this year... http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=983

She-Ra: Sorry...

WKRP: Nope...

D&D: January 17, 2004: "All 27 episodes of Dungeons & Dragons are scheduled to be released in a complete DVD boxset on March 22 in the UK." Taken from http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/ShowMainServlet/showid-5499/
Probably with all that crispy regional goodness to deal with.

Reideen: No clue how to find this out. Melinda?
