Mar. 3rd, 2004 11:18 pmI called this morning and inquired if my sewing machine was ready to be picked up yet. It was. I went and retrieved my darling Lilo, brought her home, and she and I have sewn together and seam-finished all the pieces for my hoop skirt. Save the waistband, which I haven't cut out yet.
And last night I finally sat down (in bed) and read through The Warrior's Apprentice, by Lois McMaster Bujold (Christmas present from parents... took me over two months to get to it ^^;;). Mwahahaha, much Miles fun! Forward momentum and all.
Also read Naomi, by Tanizaki Junichirou, for class. I don't like the story (why do I have a distaste for so much 1920s literature?) but have to admit the novel ties in very nicely with everything we've been studying in class. There's a lot I can pull out of it....
