Feb. 26th, 2004 06:27 pmMy sister (the nurse) has got a job! Up in Stockton, five hours away. Boo-hiss kinda? She starts work April 1st. ^^;; What an auspicious date.
Received a wedding invitation from a high school friend of mine. April 24th in Berkeley... I would like to go. Nothing conflicts that weekend that I know of, and I have family in the Concord area who've never met my husband.
That saying "always a bridesmaid, never a bride"? I think I'm doing it backwards. It's not until after I'm married that not one but two of my friends ask me to be in their weddings.... ^^
Leaving in about an hour to go to a recital the dance department is putting on. It's a requirement for taking *any* dance class that one has to write a paper on this particular recital. Fortunately only one page, so I think I'll try to make my notes typed and coherent over the weekend and turn them in on Tuesday. It will save me having to sweat over this later, when I'm trying frantically to write the ten-page paper in the class I actually need to graduate.
Did first half of Nakano presentation today. Partner is probably brains, but is *terrible* at any sort of presentation. And getting people to talk about poetry is akin to pulling hen's teeth. Grr. Well, will do my best and finish off on Tuesday! (Yes, I am one of those people who actively participates in class discussion. I have things to say and I want to talk and learn, darnit!)
