On Anime Crack
Feb. 20th, 2004 09:08 amWonderful Husband and I watched anime last night. The first three episodes of Princess Tutu, which I have agreed with him is little girl shoujo anime on some kind of crack, with yaoi slashability thrown in for good measure, but it's very pretty. And strange. Did I mention strange? And the object of our heroine's affection is such a -girl-. Waiting to see where it goes. We also started rewatching KareKano as I never saw it all the way through. KareKano is also on crack, but a much more sedate crack. No magical transformation sequences, thank god... I hate to think what Yukino would do if she had powers.
On a more serious subject, I am ROYALLY PISSED OFF because a friend of mine can't come to AX. When the HELL did Belgium get put on the list of the most dangerous countries to US security? Huh? Huh? Treating citizens of friendly nations like they're criminals is ridiculous. I haven't seen my friend in a year and a half now and because our government, in their infinite wisdom, has decreed that Belgians travelling to the US either have to get *visas* to visit or elsewise get new passports that require fingerprints and a retinal scan on file, I won't get to see her again any time soon.
