Feb. 10th, 2004 09:29 amBack from LV. As I was last time, this time I remain unimpressed by the hype that is Vegas. Lots of lights, lots of tacky theme casinos where everyone is smoking fit to blacken my lungs. Some of the shows might be interesting, but that's about all that interests me there. The desert driven through, however, is exquisite. Briselied-ish, in fact. And the sky is so clear and devoid of reflected light at night. We could actually see stars. Well, Wonderful Husband could--I was driving at that point.
We did stop by the Renfaire site on the way back just to check how the fires last year had effected it (and change drivers so I could eat my lunch before getting to work). Though the hills ringing it were obviously burnt, GHRP itself was untouched. *phew*
