Dec. 2nd, 2003 09:44 amHad an odd HikaGo dreamlet the night before last, wherein Hikaru's parents decided that if he was going to be gay, they might as well get grandchildren out of it, and sent him off to be turned into a girl. Apparently that kind of "gene therapy" exists in the sub-universe my mind invented. When he got back after about a month away (parents were able to do this because he's still legally a minor) it was a bit weird as all of his friends tried to adjust to Hikaru being a girl (especially Waya) but in the end it didn't seem to make much difference. Finally, toward the end of the dream, Akira showed up... Hikaru had been avoiding him because (of course) they were lovers and he thought that now he was a girl Akira wouldn't want him any more. Turns out Akira had been going through some introspection once he got wind of what had happened and decided he was bisexual, not gay, and thus love/obsession triumphs supreme. Kind of an inverse agreement to Bronze, wherein "I love you even though you're a girl" proves that true love really is genderless. Halfway tempted to write the story, as it amuses me and I think it would be a good challenge, but RL and other writings are keeping me busy at the moment.
