Friday morning was Squiddle's two-hour class, where to my amazement he sat still for the entirety of circle time/singing/storytime. He has never done that before! Of course, there must be a cloud in every blue sky; during free play time, first one, then a few minutes later the other, of a pair of fraternal twin brothers pushed Squiddle down with no cause whatsoever. It took a couple minutes of cuddling and rocking Squiddle before he stopped crying. Their parents scolded the twins and made them apologize (as well as two-year-olds can be made to apologize). I'm of the mind that, que sera sera, small children will be small children but that, yes, such behavior should be corrected.

After class was over, I took Squiddle and drove to my quilting guildmate's home, where I was to pick up the last round of the round robin project I've been participating in. As it happened, the Quilts For Kids group was meeting up there that day, kitting up fabrics to be made into quilt tops, and quilt tops/battings/backings for guild members to quilt together. Since Squiddle continued well-behaved, we stayed for a couple hours and helped. And, since he is good at charming people, we'll probably go back and help again at next month's meeting.

A couple hours of being around quilty people and stuff, though, left me with a need to quilt! After getting home, I pulled out a quilt top I'd bought at my guild's "yard sale" in March, spray-basted it to batting and backing, and have gotten it quilted over the last couple days. Now I just need to put binding on it. There's a fairly well-known quilting show called "Quilt in a Day" which, I've often felt, is actually a misnomer. Sure, you can make a quilt top in a day. But getting from quilt top to full quilt takes a bit longer. Two days plus in this case! And this one's not even bed-sized.

And, meantime, a bit later today, we're going out to the Renaissance Faire! I need to look in my drawer of teas and figure out what I need to restock.
