Full Day
My younger boy is in speech therapy once a week, as, though he's bright as a new penny, he's two years old and not talking yet. During today's session, while I was in the waiting room, I got a call from an agent wanting to show our house (which we've had on the market for ~4 months now, a consequence of listing it at the dead wrong time of the year) in a little over an hour. I said sure, let him know that my husband was working from home today, and would probably be there, then promptly called Wonderful Husband and asked him to get the house showing-ready.
Which... it wasn't terrible. Certainly I wouldn't be ashamed to have guests over. But showing-ready is something else.
Wonderful Husband agreed, and after therapy was over I went and ran some errands. Except the agent still hadn't come by when the boys and I got home. At Wonderful Husband's suggestion, I texted the agent, and got a response that they were running late (by about an hour and a half, without letting us know...) and would be there in twenty minutes. We promptly all decamped and went out for lunch. The agent called me back shortly thereafter while I was on the restroom floor changing Jazzy's diaper, confusedly asking me if there was someone there to let them in. I multitasked like a champ and had to tell him no, and that there was a lockbox on the door.
*sigh* Some days, some people....
I tried a couple new recipes from Good and Cheap for dinner. I was the only one who liked Smoky and Spicy Roasted Cauliflower (alas), but all three of them seemed to like Filipino Chicken Adobo, even if Wonderful Husband thought having rice and potatoes in the same dish was weird.
Probably no writing tonight. Bed sounds really good....
