Last night Wonderful Husband's electrician class went on a field trip to the City of Anaheim power station, so after getting home I was virtuous and went to the gym. Where I ended up watching Queen of the Damned during my workout.
It was, somewhat surprisingly, not as bad as I remembered. Still laughable, though. But I had the advantage of not listening to it, and of commercial breaks. Last time I saw the film was on a mandatory field trip (which I could ill afford) for a screenwriting class in college, during a time when I was overworked and overstressed. It remains the only time I've been inside Graumann's Chinese Theater, and I still remember that I was cringing at the volume.
After gym, I came home, had dinner, and showered. Then I did my research to add music into Queen's Choice. I put the change I wanted into chapter 14 (instead of painting, Echo is now playing the erhu), then went back further, to the bandit camp, to put in a little more of what
dragondancer515 dubbed "Ale Jam" into it. At that point, Wonderful Husband came home and started telling me about his field trip.
And then the fan fell out of the ceiling.
Literally.
Cue panicked rush to turn it off, to support it as it dangled, to hunt up flashlights, to save my work and turn off the computer, and finally to flip the breakers so the fan wasn't live. Wonderful Husband undid the wires and we sat it in my chair until we can figure out why it fell and fix it.
I decided that this was my sign to call it a night. Thus why I have no word count on what I added in, and also why I did not finish adding enriching details into QC.
