I has ownership of a new in 1945 used until up to a year ago singer sewing machine model15-91. I am awaiting a cord replacement as I suspect cousin A of tossing the old one if she found it in grans remaining stuff. this brings up the question if you intend to use it how often should you oil such a machine? I have the manuals but a sewing person's knowledge would be appreciated here, and some book recommendations for an utter newbie to machine sewing who will never in her life be able to take a class unless all the planets align with Libra on the day of her birthday and allow there to be one when she is 130 miles from home in actual town with such classes.
