Writer's Block: Shhh… Don’t tell

I don't know if my inlaws know about my LJ, but, really, my surname isn't common and probably googling for it'd bring this right up. Everyone else in my RL? My family knows about it, certainly. Most of my RL friends live some distance away from me, so this is one of my main tools for keeping in touch with them. So, no, my LJ isn't a secret.
What I lock on it to keep secret, OTOH... is probably not very much. Less than half a dozen posts locked for my viewing only since this journal's inception. And those would be the posts about things I'm having trouble handling IRL. Health, depression, etc. I keep those off my LJ because I don't want to worry people who can't do anything about them anyway. I understand that my friends have my best wishes at heart regardless of whether or not I vent my own personal bitterness and bile all over the internet. And, honestly, me being down about something? Is quite bad enough without dragging others into it.
