Lovely List
May. 13th, 2011 07:07 pmHuh. So, inspired by this post (linked to by Sal), here are five things I like about my body.
(1) I have fabulous hair. It's the color of dark honey, light in weight, almost waist-length, and looks good no matter what.
(2) I have good skin. Not saying I don't get spots once in a while, because I do, but it's smooth and relatively undamaged by solar exposure.
(3) I have strong, muscular calves. It means I have to be more selective about tights and nylons and such, but they're strong and firm and when I have to run from the oncoming zombie apocalypse, I'm golden.
(4) I have attractive features. When I'm not being down on myself, in fact, I tend to think I'm pretty. My smile? It is fabulous. Also, dimples!
(5) I may be overweight, but my body carries my fat proportionately. I look significantly lighter than I am, and when I dress in something form-fitting, I look fantastic.
So, anyone care to join me in listing five things you like about your body?

'cause you goaded me into it ;)
Date: 2011-05-14 02:39 am (UTC)1) I really like my natural curls and waves. Once I accepted that my hair was best slightly longer and wildly wavy, I was much happier
2) I have a very bright smile that speaks from the soul
3) Even though I am overweight, I love my curves. Like you, I carry my weight proportionally and love wearing form fitting stuff.
4) I had tiny breasts before I had kids. Now I've got 40 DD jugs, and I love them and am very glad they didn't go away when I stopped nursing.
5) I really like my face. I have a nice complexion and good features.

Date: 2011-05-14 02:51 am (UTC)2) I think I have beautiful eyes- a warm, dark brown, almond shaped and just enough of a crease to prove my Asian-ness.
3) I'm told I have a great smile. I don't really think about it much, but since everything I've been told about customer service starts with "smile", I'm confident in showing it off.
4) One of my upper canines is slightly higher and outside the rest of my teeth, just enough so when I smile it looks like I have a little fang. It may annoy my mom but I think it's ~charming (and may be related to why people like my smile?)
5) I have small breasts and I could not be happier about it. They don't get in my way when I'm being active and don't get tender when I'm cramping or anything.

Date: 2011-05-22 09:39 pm (UTC)(1) My hair is a lovely shade of red/amber, and is the longest it's ever been in my life (below my shoulder blades). Lovely Hubby is thrilled it's so long; he can't stop touching it.
(2) My eyes are a very interesting shade of green, and according to Hubby they can look right through you, or look glowing if I'm aroused. THAT look is for Lovely Hubby!
(3) I've been working out, so I'm finally losing the weight I gained while pregnant, and toning up everything stretched. I have my hour-glass back!
(4) I have somewhat long fingers, and can pull off tasteful rings (like my wedding rings!) well. My nails are shaped and trimmed.
(5) My skin is very fair (I almost glow in the dark), and soft, and usually smooth. Been having some break-outs on my face, but they're clearing up. And I have just enough freckles on my face to look cute (Hubby's words).
