Costume College Class Selection
Apr. 17th, 2011 10:20 amSpent a little time going through the class listing for Costume College and picking what I want to attend. As always, there are a couple interesting classes up against the two I'm scheduled to teach, but hey whatever. Nothing so bad as the year I was scheduled against the cutwork class which I really, really would have liked to take....
The limited classes I'm marking down are Vintage Feather Ornaments, a Medieval Belt Workshop, Sewing on a Vintage Sewing Machine (which also includes some repair information), and Basic Lucet Weaving. I could probably pick up that last one on my own, either from the internet or maybe a class at the RenFaire if they're offering them again this year (and if I even get to go this year), but sometimes learning skills in a dedicated class with a teacher to offer corrections is easier. I've been eyeing the pretty lucets at Hedgehog Handiworks in the dealers' room the last few Colleges anyway.
(This year, as an extra bonus, CC is offering teachers a small gift cert for the dealer's room. Oh that is going to go so quickly in my hands....)
Regardless of what I get in the way of limited classes this year, though, I think I'm going to be very happy. There's a lot of stuff that sounds interesting to me. And I so totally didn't need to offer a class to fit in with the medieval theme track that CC is offering this year, as there are tons of others, but, again, hey whatever.
Off to have brekky and then start sewing.
