Kristin Vs. Flu and Scheduling

sakon76The flu is playing headology with me and winning, in the sense that it's totally fragging up my senses of taste and smell. Listerine (which, okay, is never all that subtle) and toothpaste send me into great rounds of hacking-up-my-spare-lung coughing ATM, and right now I swear I can smell something unpleasant in the house, but not being able to narrow it down beyond that, I suspect it to be a figment of my addled senses.
On the other hand, I ventured forth from the house this morning to the bookshop to pick up the 2011 version of my desperately needed Sierra Club Engagement Calendar. Because without being able to write down what I'm supposed to be doing, and where, and when, I am in so much trouble. (Example: while I was out on this errand, my doctor's office called me to remind me of my Monday morning appointment. Me: "Bwuh? Oh, yes... of course. What time is it again, please?" I got home and checked and it is one of the appointment cards paperclipped to the end of the 2010 calendar. Which have now been transferred into the new one.) But now I and my shiny new planner have straightened out my life for the next two weeks. Mostly.
I also looked at the Tron: Betrayal graphic novel while at the bookstore. (After having to look it up in their computer. Silly me who thought graphic novels would be filed in the graphic novels section, not in the kids' books section!) A brief glance was enough to confirm do want, but I held off on buying it as we have an Amazon order to go in in the next few days.
