Now up to page 131. Tacked a little bit onto the end of the Marin/Kanna/Terren having tea scene. Wrote Ariss making her decision. I let her rule out one of the four (the most obvious one) on screen, but left her to choose among the other three in the privacy of her own thoughts. Must save the punch for the "announcement" scene, after all. Also wrote Briselied waking up with Susse and actually having a conversation with the succubus. Which, given that Susse isn't all that great with words, was a pretty neat accomplishment. For all that the last couple days of writing have involved writing around sex (specifically, whether or not Brise and Susse have it), them finally having the more-or-less frank conversation about it was refreshing. And Brise has flat-out stated that she doesn't like women in that way. Susse's response was astute and came at things remarkably sideways, which makes me wonder how she and Kanna (who did the same sort of thing at the end of the aforementioned tea scene) would get along. Probably not all that well, as Kanna is short on patience for those she considers fools, and Susse is a bit flighty, but it's still a surprisingly shared character trait.
I still have no idea, though, of when or if Brise is going to cave and actually have sex with the succubus. Yes is looking more likely at the moment, but how conflicted she'll be and how much her heart and head will each be engaged is still up in the air.
