Need Sparklies

So, in the last stage of my major dental work that is entirely my own fault as I didn't go to the dentist for at least fifteen years, I got major chunks of two of my teeth (right next to one another) cut out this week and currently have a temporary crown across the both of them. I get separate permanent crowns put on on Thursday and that will be the end of things.

I am at the moment relatively miserable and self-medicating on Advil at least twice a day for a constant low-grade discomfort and pain. If this continues once I have the permanent crowns... I don't know what I'll do. I'm finally just getting out of a long ebb of mild depression (generally, if I'm writing, I'm happy; feel free to page back on my journal and check my writing pace) but if this continues I'm going to be going right back into it.

My saving grace at the moment is having turned on the TV last week and hunted down an episode of White Collar based on thefourthvine having recc'ed a fic for it and also based on the radio adverts for it amusing me. I can haz shiny new fandom! Though a tiny hindpart of my brain is wondering why no one has yet written a crossover between it and The Pretender. Aforementioned tiny part of brain is trying to plot out how a crossover would work, but is being stymied by limitations of knowledge. Even after I watch sufficient WC and rewatch sufficient Pretender, though, it is unlikely this fic will ever make it out of my head and onto the computer. But I will know it, and that will be enough to amuse me.

Permanent crowns are nice once you get used to them. A lot easier to eat with than a tooth that's held together with cavity filler. TRUST me. *can't eat on the right side anymore*
