Title: The Graveyard Book
Author: Neil Gaiman
Length: 307 pages

This was actually one of my Christmas presents to my husband this year, but as he's reading manga I got first, I'm reading the books he got first, particularly since he thinks I should give finishing out my fifty a shot. Ain't gonna happen, but it'll be interesting to see how close I get. Closer than last year, that's for certain!

Now, while I like Sandman as much as the next self-respecting fantasy fan, I haven't always liked Gaiman's written works as well. Coraline, which most everyone thinks is brilliant... just didn't do it for me. Too much on the horror/suspense side of things, and it reminded me a touch of a book that traumatized me as a child. (Y'all think I'm a wuss now, you should have seen me then.) But I've seen this book on some of the mainstream media's "top ten of '08" book lists and I thought Wonderful Husband would probably like it, so purchased it got.

It's very good. That's really about all I can say about it.

Recommended: Very much so. Go read.
