In browsing over the English-language Wikipedia entry on Ultraman Moebius, I realized something.

Someone on staff is an alliteration fiend.

I'm not in the habit of expecting alliteration from the Japanese any more than I'm in the habit of expecting rhymes from them. The language is largely not set up to support much of either (though I admit I would expect the former more than the latter). I mean, English? All about the alliteration (see: Pansy Parkinson, Jamba Juice, and the titles of the entire alliterative arc of Moebius stories hoshikage and I are writing). But Japanese...?

Yet for the GunLoader/Winger/Phoenix, there's Maneuver Mode. And in Maneuver Mode the GunLoader can perform the Ventilation Volteccer. The Trigger Shot has the alliterative ABCs of Acute Arrow, Buster Bred (Blade?), and the Capture Cube which is somehow related the Neuron Neutralizer. The Meteor Shot has thus far used the Region Restrictor and the Spirit Separator. Then there are the Maquette Monsters, and, of course, Moebius' powerup to Burning Brave mode.

I am... charmed. Befuddled, but charmed.

And also annoyed that for some reason Wikipedia wants to delete the Monsters in Ultraman Mebius page.

Wow. I hadn't noticed that before, but you're right. That's pretty awesome. I guess we really do have to stick with alliterative titles for fics then, now don't we? ;)

Rats, I guess we do. But if the title is only one word I don't have to worry about making it alliterative, right? Guess I need to shorten the title down. (Or come up with one, for that matter... >.>)
