There are certain moments in costuming when what you're working on just gels and comes together right, as it should be, as you've theorized it to be, after hours of tedium and setbacks and various levels of frustration. I love these moments because they're what tips things over from "I hate this costume" to "It works! It's ALIVE! Mwhahahaha!" Because inside every costumer there's a mad scientist just waiting to be let out, really.

I'm still working on the jacket, still encountering problems, mostly with the trim and cornering and thank god I have quilting experience 'coz it's what's saving my ass at the moment, but the cuffs? They WORK.

And this makes me happy.
