Feb. 14th, 2003 10:15 amTired, but had fun adventures with Sionna last night. Left late to go to the airport, and had to stop for gas to boot, but made it *precisely* on time to meet her and Mark and Peter at the luggage carousel. We then went to their hotel and waited for their travelling companions to show up, got their stuff into their room and went out to dinner. We separated in cars along gender lines, agreeing to meet up in Pasadena at Wild Thyme. Well, Sionna and I made it. The other four got caught up talking and... well, ended up looking for one freeway instead of another. So they ate elsewhere. Was okay; she's going to be surrounded by them and their tech talk for the next week and a half, so we had a lovely time (I hope!) talking about writing and costumes. We then met up with the four of them, got a room key, and significantly beat them back to the motel, where we unrolled the wall scroll for my AX costume and discussed its finer points. Finally the menfolk arrived and we all ended up there sitting and talking. I left around two in the morning. And by now they're on their way to Japan.
Lost my bid on the Himuro no Sakura anthology. Ah well. I bid my limit on it, so it's probably just as well.
Pondering the British _Knight Rider_ DVDs. But they're not that high on my priority queue; I can wait on them. Also apparently need to make at least three copies of The Scarlet Pimpernel; my friends have never seen it before and all go "ooooh" when they find out Ian McKellan was in it, before he became a "Sir."
My first class today is cancelled but the second isn't, and tonight's Valentine's Day at work. I am so glad I won't be running the board....
Off to do yet more laundry.
