Small Miracles
Mar. 13th, 2016 09:09 amLast night, for the first time in rather a while, Squiddle went to bed quietly. Peacefully. Not one wail, not one getting up and running to the gate. He did wake up in the middle of the night, but that time, too, he let me rock him and put him back to bed, and stayed there with no fuss.
This won't last - particularly with a rather large change in routine coming when we go visit his grandparents in Britain next week - but it was so lovely and novel it felt almost like a small miracle.
And now, changing clocks and having breakfast. Which is currently, for Squiddle, shaped like a banana, a glass of orange juice, and some episodes of Peppa Pig.
