Time For Size 9-Month Clothing...
Mar. 10th, 2014 09:15 pmI did not end up going to the Rose Bowl Flea Market on Sunday, for a couple of reasons. The main one was that Daylight Savings Time crept up on me. My alarm went off at the time I would've needed to leave to meet up with the CGW folk. And I didn't really feel like going alone. Perhaps next month.
So instead I had a nice quiet day at home, getting stuff done.
It was also the Squiddle's six-month birthday! My parents came up for dinner and Wonderful Husband and I ceremoniously moved the Squiddle's bassinet into his very own bedroom. I'm planning to let him keep sleeping in that for a week as a transition period before putting him in the crib. It feels weird not having the baby sleep in the same room as us. And despite the monitor (which is very bright in our dark room), we were both still having a bit of anxiety over the baby being so far away. But we persevered and slept, and Squiddle only got me up twice last night. And the space on my side of the bed seems so big now!
Today was Squiddle's six-month doctor's visit and next round of vaccinations. Since the weather was fair and warm and the doctor's office only a half-mile away, I popped the baby in the stroller and walked it. Squiddle now weighs 21 pounds, 4.6 ounces, and measures 27.75 inches long. He's pretty good at sitting by himself, can support his own weight standing when he has someone holding his hands for balance, and has mad scooting-backward-off-the-playmat skills. He also rolls over from time to time.
