Wonderful Husband and I got up promptly this morning to go to part two of our childbirth class. We wanted to arrive early because the birth/baby stuff store at St. Joseph Hospital has approximately the same hours as the class, and I needed to get fitted for nursing bras. Which went well, and I now have a trio, in three different colors, and know what size I am in case I need more. Incidentally, is there like a breast size donation plan or something? I was already large-chested. Can I give some away to those less fortunate?
Class went well, we ended up going to lunch at BJ's (tasty tasty lunch), and then stopped by Bergstrom's on the way home, since on our way out Wondeful Husband had noticed a "Store Closing" sign.
We now have a reasonable guess as to why roughly a third of the items on our baby registry have simply vanished. The entire chain is closing, and the one near us is in fact the last retail location still open. Yes, that's us... we do a simple registry and kill an entire chain. Oops? :)
In other news, all the pretty pretty pictures people have been posting of Costume College have been making me mimblewimble. And people are already planning for next year's Gala dinner, claiming various French court gowns to make! Last night I ended up pulling out the 1874 La Mode Elegant prints I got in Cambridge, and Patterns of Fashion 2, and the Emma manga to soothe my need to be planning out things for myself. Not that I can even start on anything like that (beyond maybe a chemise) for the next three months, until I'm actually a mommy and my innards have healed up enough to let me think of corsets, but still....
