I Roll Family Expansions For A +3

So apparently I'm gaining not one new cousin(-in-law), but two! Allyson announced her engagement a couple of weeks ago, and I met her fiance at the party over the weekend. I also met Galen's girlfriend at the party, and apparently as of this morning, his Facebook status is "engaged." Now, both Cootie and Lisa are wonderful people, and I welcome them to the family, but suddenly I'm feeling old. I'm ten years older than Ally, and twelve years older than Galen. My baby cousins are all grown up and getting married! I probably have a few years' grace on my mom's side of the family - my cousins there are still in college and high school - but suddenly that "first of the next generation" thing for squiddle is starting to hit home. I don't feel mature enough to be an adult, let alone the middle generation of my family. Yet at the same time, my inlaws are retired, and my parents are planning to be so within a couple years. So I really can't deny it, either.

On Not Torturing One's Classmates

I've edited and printed out my final ten-page submission of Queen's Choice for this term's writing class. It ends, quite neatly, on the titular decision. Wonderful Husband said that I should just move the line break and leave everyone hanging until September. I, on the other hand, would like to escape the classroom alive next week. So he was unable to sell me on the idea.
