A Saturday Morning Hobby
May. 25th, 2013 11:04 am*glee~!*
The last couple days, there's been an estate sale going on three doors down from us. Wonderful Husband thought I should go before work the first day - otherwise there wouldn't be anything good left. ^_^;; Kind of my point is going to estate sales the last day, because otherwise I might spend too much money and get too much stuff! So this morning, after bellydance class and washing up a rack of dishes, I walked over, dragging him along.
Total haul:
three of the 1960s "recipes of the world" series I didn't already have, including Scandanavian cooking - $1.50
a new Stitch plushie to add to our collection - $2.00
a pillowcase to embroider - $1.00
an already-embroidered table topper - $1.00
a vintage black Singer buttonholer kit, including box, instructions, and all the templates - $2.00
$7.50 total. Not bad. The last item especially has me doing a happy dance. Score! I can now make buttonholes with my vintage machines.
