In Praise of Squishy Shoes
Apr. 23rd, 2012 10:21 amI have unexpectedly sensitive feet. Some mornings, particularly after lots of standing or vigorous exercise the day before, this means that my walking around the house is a motion best described as "stumping." Or, other days, limping.
I have long had an old pair of thrift store sandals that are cushioned enough to alleviate this condition. However, they are a bit ratty looking, and not appropriate for an office regardless. Which is why Wonderful Husband's discovery of the Clarks outlet at The Citadel was a revelation. Even outlet priced and on sale on top of that, the shoes aren't cheap. But they're designed so that for the first time in my life I can wear shoes of a 2"+ rise, and also so that on days like today, I'm able to walk sans limp.
Totally worth the cost.
