The Good, The Interesting, and The Ugly

Things that are GOOD: the first trailer for The Hobbit. Cannot wait! Already desperately want the soundtrack. Am amused, though; mostly I don't see John Watson, but when Martin Freeman speaks? Boy do I ever hear him.

Things that are... interesting: The Dark Knight Rises trailer. I've always been ish on Bane, and Heath Ledger's Joker is going to be an extremely tough act to follow up. (Then again I was also ish on Liam Neeson's Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins.) And this Catwoman is so far not inspiring me. But we'll see how it goes.

And things that suck: LJ's new commenting system. Ugly, clunky, unfriendly, and devourer of bandwidth. Let The Powers That Be know if you agree with me and disapprove of the changes. Give them feedback.

Yes, There Was A Desk Holding All That Paper Up...

...I have most of a desk. In that all the papers have been gone through, mostly tossed, and everything remaining is in a single 9" stack to my left. It would be a shorter stack, but it has a box in it. The small mound of things-to-be-glued have been glued and are curing overnight before going back to their forever homes.

...And I have a small stack of additional notebooks and papers on the floor. Dammit. The bookcases remain an overstuffed disaster area, but they at least get to wait until the new year for me to go through them, organize, and donate those things we don't truly love. The stack of papers-to-be-filed atop the filer is also a disaster area, but that may be mended sooner.

For now, I am going to bed.
