My usual wake-up time is 7am. On Sundays (the only day I don't have to get up then), I usually end up waking up by 7:30 anyway. Today was no exception.

Thus far: reorganized the freezer, decanted the roasted tomatoes in one-cup measures and frozen them, stemmed, washed and frozen yesterday's haul of jalepenos and habeneros, made sourdough bread, cleaned the catbox, swept the house, and helped Wonderful Husband put another half-dozen slats on our new gate.

Wonderful Husband, meantime, has been doing work work, and also started the laundry, which led to the discovery that the kitchen/laundry drain is blocked and overflowing again, as it tends to do every eight or so months. So he has called Roto-Rooter, who will come out and take care of this for us tomorrow morning. So no more laundry today, I guess. I need to decide how this impacts the rest of my cooking plans for today (zucchini bread, pickling cucumbers, canning tomatoes, juicing oranges, making lemonade concentrate, and making plov for dinner), since all of those will require washing up afterwards. Fortunately all the outdoors stuff-to-do remains unaffected....

Together, we turned the compost, watered all the potted plants, mowed the front lawn, watered the front lawn, deadheaded the roses, massacred the demon bougainvilla, planted some of the tomatoes, finally potted up one of the plumerias [livejournal.com profile] femme4jack bought me from Hawaii (need to get more plumeria-appropriate potting soil tomorrow for the other), started digging up the unhappy strawberries and potting them, and washed my car. I will probably juice some oranges tonight, as otherwise I'll have no juice tomorrow for breakfast, but I'm suspecting all other cooking endeavors (including plov) are getting punted to tomorrow, when we once again have a working kitchen drain.

Looking at the list, there are ten remaining incomplete items out of an initial twenty-five.

Two more episodes of TFP closer to being caught up. Speed Demons amused me for its underlining of just how annoying it really is that only Raf can understand Bumblebee. (And where, I kept asking, was Ratchet during this episode?) I was also amused by the potential love interest's name; "Sierra" was the other girl's name my parents had been considering when I was born. :)

Predatory, OTOH... I'm really hoping I don't get another nightmare from that episode. Transformers has finally hit upon a truly terrifying psychopath character, and I don't think it's just because she's a spider; I like both versions of Blackarachnia, after all, in differing ways. I really like Jack in this episode; he exhibits human resourcefulness. (Also, Chekov's Armory FTW!) Still wanting a fic where he and Sam get coffee and hash out the problems of living with Cybertronians, but can't think yet of how to plausibly cross the universes.
