Caturday Sum-up
Aug. 13th, 2011 05:16 pmPet peeves: people who list their sale as an estate sale when it's really a garage/yard/moving sale. Had an amusing moment, though, at one of the two actual estate sales this morning, when the lady running it saw that I was buying a couple vintage patterns and some sewing notions. She asked if I'd be interested in the sewing machine as well. Had to tell her I already had five. ^_^;; (Of which two don't work.)
The window people, despite having called Wonderful Husband earlier this week to tell him that our final window was in, apparently did not have our window today. Or at least couldn't find it. But they finished wrapping our remaining windows and the garage with matching sills, caulked the cracks that had appeared where they'd worked before, and repaired the bit of stucco they'd damaged in taking out the old sliding door. So we like this work crew a bit better than the first.
And I started in on reorganizing the shelves, specifically with the goal of not leaving the kitties anywhere to hide in them. I've gone through almost a full lint roller, and some of the fabric I'm not even trying on; it's just going to go in the wash. I'm still nowhere near my goal of actually having everything crafty on the fabric shelves, but I'm a lot closer than I was this morning. I figure if I can empty one and a half more sections, though, I'll be able to reach my goal. Time to get sewing!
