Sometimes the pop fandom cup runneth over.

I have questionable taste in music. In fact, I have questionable taste in many things. My novel, for instance, is about a mermaid fairy demi-goddess princess with pretty clothing! I blame this, and my love for boybands, on the fact that a part of my brain obviously got stuck somewhere around twelve years old.

That said OMGWTFSQUEEEEEEE~!

New Kids on the Block. And Backstreet Boys. One stage, one concert. And it's going to be in my neck of the woods!!

*happy place reached for at least the next several days*

In Which Kristin Does Not Deal Well With Pain. Big Surprise.

So today Wonderful Husband and I picked up my very own pair of ice skates. Which had to be special ordered because I have fat feet and thick, muscular calves. :p Having them heat-moulded to me ("when the buzzer goes off, the skates are done") and the toes on the left one punched out a bit took about an hour. The public skating session at that time was rather crowded, so we decided to go to the one this evening instead.

Whereupon I discovered that the toes of the left skate needed more punching out and I need some sort of arch support on the right. Three times around the rink and I was literally crying by the time Wonderful Husband helped me hobble to the skate shop, it hurt that bad. They punched out the one skate more but were out of arch inserts, so basically at this point I'm skating in 10-15 minute blocks and then taking the skates entirely off until my feet recover. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I'm guessing the skates may be broken in by the time we leave them behind and go to England next month....

NaNo, Day 13

Start point: 95848
End point: 97172
Words written today: 1324
Total thus far: 14461

Have ended up with one more "fluff, placeholder" scene and then WHAM! hit a solid scene that is not going anywhere. Ariss has made her choice. And I'm leaving off in the middle of the scene where she announces it to the court because I haven't quite figured out what words she's choosing for this.

Need to decide pretty quick now when the gods' protection falls away from the kingdom. The moment of her announcement? The moment of her death? Or the moment her successor is crowned?
