Home Cookin'

For dinner, I roasted a chicken that'd been defrosting in the fridge, and went out to the garden and harvested turnips, a beet, carrots, eggplant, and scarlet runner beans for roast veg. The only failure in all this was the runner beans. They cooked well, but the husk/casing/whatever was pretty much inedible. Must figure out what I can do with them as shelling beans.

Took cookies in to my writing class last night. The reaction was pretty much "OMG homemade cookies wow yum!" This reaction somewhat perplexed me because how else does one get cookies other than to bake them? But then I am a bit unusual in some of my preferences.
