Newer Than Expected

Hmm. Looking up my new-old sewing machine, it's apparently about twenty years newer than previously thought. Its serial number is EC619173, which, according to Singer's website, means that it's a 28K model, of which there were thirty thousand made. It was released on February 12th of 1940 and was made in the Kilbowie factory in Clydebank, Scotland.

I need to name it something.
