Didn't get too much done last night except for a little grocery shopping and running the trash out to the curb around 11:30pm when I realized this morning was pickup and neither of us had taken it out yet. Did a tiny bit of harvesting (one tomato, two cucumbers) and was delighted to see one more Ruby Queen corn poking its head up. That's eight for this final round of sweet corn for the year! One more and I can do a 3x3 patch! (I planted sixteen presoaked seeds; a 50% germination rate is actually not making me really happy... OTOH I've gotten two years of corn at two addresses each year out of this one packet.) I suspect I spent most of the evening reading really well-written fanfic.

This morning, in contrast, I washed a rackful of dishes (got a bit behind for a few days while the one broken rung on the rack was being repaired via E6000 glue and a binder clip), washed the kitty food bowls and gave them new food (Sushi is still not eating; he's going in to the vet tomorrow), set out breakfast for two, made Wonderful Husband a mug of tea, ate brekky, packed my lunch, sewed three seams on the butterfly blouse, read lj, and was only five minutes late to work. All in an hour! I've also basted the back seam on the blouse (red thread against green fabric reminding me of Christmas). Theoretically Liz is coming over tonight for sewing, so I'm hoping to get more sewn and have this blouse finished sometime this week.
